Terms of use
The app assists a driver rather than replacing one, most speed limits are inferred, and who is responsible for advertising content.
These terms cover the MapCar application and the site mapcar.z-cloud.com.vn, provided by Z-SOFT CO., LTD. Installing or using the app means you accept them.
1. The app assists a driver; it does not replace one
MapCar displays your speed, an estimated speed limit and overspeed warnings. That is reference information. Road signs and traffic law are always the authority. You remain fully responsible for controlling the vehicle, including when the app is wrong, late, or showing nothing at all.
2. Most speed limits are inferred
Public map data carries no speed-limit signs, so most limits are inferred by the app from road class and area under Circular 31/2019/TT-BGTVT. The figure shown can be lower or higher than what is actually permitted. Inferred values always carry the words ~ estimated. We make no accuracy guarantee and accept no liability for fines or losses arising from relying on that figure.
3. Data and the community map
The app has no account and never uploads your journey. With the Community map switched on (the default; it can be turned off in Settings), the app sends the reports you create yourself, tagged with an anonymous device id, and downloads other drivers' reports around your car. 4. Your contributions to the community map
By sending a report (a sign, a hazard, a place) you allow Z-SOFT to store it, merge it with other reports, publish it to other users and use it to improve the service, without time limit and without compensation. You undertake to report only what you actually see where you are standing. Deliberately false or bulk reports may get your device id limited or refused without notice.
Community data is information supplied by other users, not independently verified. Signs appear only once enough separate devices agree; temporary hazards appear at once and expire after 30–60 minutes. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any item and accept no liability for driving decisions based on them — road signs and traffic law are always the final authority.
5. Advertising in the app
The app carries an advertising area. Ads are selected by slot, never by individual user. Advertising content is the responsibility of the advertiser; we screen it against the policy on the Advertise page, but we do not endorse and are not responsible for their products, services or promises. Tapping an ad takes you out of the app and onto their site, where their own terms apply.
6. Place search and directions
Search results and routes come from the provider MapVina through our server. A suggested route may not be the best one and does not account for temporary closures, weight or height restrictions; choosing the road remains your responsibility. The service may be rate-limited or interrupted.
7. Maps and third-party data
Map data belongs to OpenStreetMap contributors and is published under the ODbL licence. Map tiles are served by OpenFreeMap. We do not control the completeness or accuracy of that data, and the tile service may be interrupted for reasons outside our control.
8. Installation and distribution
The app is published as an APK on this site. You may install it on your own devices and use it personally or within your business. You may not modify, decompile, repackage or redistribute the APK under another name. Download only from mapcar.z-cloud.com.vn — we take no responsibility for an APK obtained elsewhere.
9. No warranty
The app is provided "as is". We do not promise that it runs on every head unit or that it runs without fault, and to the extent the law allows, we accept no liability for indirect losses arising from its use.
10. Changes
We may update these terms as the app changes. A new version is posted on this page with its date. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the new version.
